The logo of post-punk magazine i-D was designed by founder Terry Jones in 1980. By turning the word image 90 degrees a 'wink' is visible, symbolizing the attitude of i-D. It lives on in the wink of the cover models on the cover of all editions of i-D since then.

me studioThe 'me' logo dates from the year that my design agency was founded: 2005. At that time I had a partner and our initials (Martin and Erik) were brought together in a simple typographic word image: me. The letter M is actually an uppercase E and the letter E a lower case M. Both were rotated and mirrored to create a word image that symbolizes exactly the playful way of thinking of 'me studio'. A visual joke that is not immediately clear to everyone, so there is something to discover. Typography as an image, I like that.
