I love band artwork because often really innovative design is being made for it. A candy store for designers to find inspiration. This logo, 'Tongue & Lips' designed by John Pasche in 1970 for the Rollings Stones is a true classic. Although the design is before my time, it still feels like a contemporary image. The clear lines and simple use of color create an icon that works great on all formats. And despite its simple shape, it feels very dynamic, juicy and round. The image appears to be a reference to Mick Jagger's mouth and tongue, but was not conceived that way. It is inspired by a poster of the Indian goddess Kali sticking out her pointed tongue. A rebellious gesture, and very sensually portrayed in this logo.

Henry HandsomeThis is one of my favorite designs, a clear logo for a cool brand. Young Impact is a foundation that believes in the power and ideas of young people to change what they consider important. We were asked to design a corporate identity that could convey the ambition of the brand and that would appeal to the target group. After research, we arrived at an image strategy based on the combination of street culture and clarity in form. The logo represents the domino effect, 1 stone falls over and causes a chain reaction. The fallen stones end in a lightning bolt that makes an impact.
